As I was working all weekend (well not all weekend)… I pondered some thoughts. How naked should I be about Groove Commerce. Having been involved in this game for quite a while it has been interesting to see different perspectives. My first Search Engine Strategies show was in Dallas November of 2001, just after 9/11. There were only about 300 of us that gathered in the Dallas Fashion Center and my eyes were opened to a whole new world. I alway knew of SEO, but never knew people were making a living from it. Thanks to my friend John, my life was changed.
At this years SES I ran into Jamie Low who I first met and had lunch with that year in Dallas. Jamie had a cover story in INC. magazine that I was enthralled with. We spoke of those last six years and how people have come and gone from our industry and how superstars have risen and fell.
I see people like Rand Fishkin be extremely open about all aspects of their business while rising to the top of our industry in the process, while my business background is to hold things a little closer to the chest. I think its time to get a little naked… What do you think?
