Epic Dental came to Groove looking to take their site to the next level. Business was increasing, and Epic knew they needed a website that could keep pace with their growth. We gave them a fresh new design, a conversion friendly one-page checkout and some custom development work that included a Mail Order Management (MOM) order processing system.
In early 2007, Epic Dental, a Utah-based dental products retailer, was shopping around for a design firm to redesign their eCommerce retail site – EpicDental.com. Over the years before, Epic had worked with several other eCommerce firms, all of which had lots of promise, but were rarely able to implement their ideas. Within a few months, they got their new website for a good price, but it wasn’t exactly what they wanted. The new site lacked functionality, effective navigation, and a user friendly checkout, to name a few; Epic was back where they started and looking for a new site again.
For their redesign with Groove, there were three primary goals: to introduce a new navigation that spoke to different types of potential customers, to increase the conversion rate for both new and returning visitors, and to have a more user-friendly website overall. From an ongoing marketing standpoint, the strategy was to increase organic search engine traffic by publishing new content, optimizing on-page SEO elements, and building backlinks. Part of the strategy was also to optimize their paid search campaign by adding more negative keywords, managing bids, and a/b testing new ads and ad groups.
Since Groove’s new redesign and ongoing marketing initiatives, Epic Dental’s web sales have more than doubled. In the past 10 months, organic traffic has increased nearly 50%, ROI from paid search has doubled, and conversion is up over 20%.
